This network security document defines policies and procedures that are designed to ensure the protection of ACCD network components and workstations. They have been designed to provide "defense in depth" in order to achieve the maximum protection from the wide variety of technology security threats that currently exist.

 

The purpose of this document is to outline an acceptable computer use guidelines to ensure that the Alamo Community College District's Information Technology infrastructure promotes the basic missions of our institution and provides appropriate service to all ACCD computer users. These guidelines establishes rules to ensure the protection of confidential and/or sensitive information stored electronically. It assigns general responsibility and provides security guidelines to protect the computer systems and administrative data against misuse and/or loss.

If user needs local administrative rights to his or her workstation, the Administrative Access Form needs to be filled out.
